A "pedigreed rabbit" just basically means a rabbit the family tree (of all the same breed) is known up to 4 generations. This is helpful to breeders so they can tell what color babies that rabbit might have for example a castor mini rex who's dad was a black otter and mom was a solid blue...This tells the breeder that if they bred that bunny to a black otter there is a high chance of getting; black otters, castors, and possibly even getting a blue otter.
And a non-pedigreedmeans the family tree is unknown so you will have a harder time finding the best rabbit to breed it to, to get the desired colors that in It's litters.
"About four pounds! and four inches!"
Mini rex rabbits are just a smaller version of the rex.
The average mini rex weight is 4 1/4 lbs. And the average rex wieght is 7.5 - 10.5 lbs.
Other than that there is little difference between the two.
Such as mini rex rabbits have more color variety found in the breed.
Most people pefer bucks over does for pets becouse, male rabbits bond better to their human owners and tend to show more affection towards people. Females (when unpaired with a buck) can get irritable and nippy.
However, if you plan to get two pet rabbits, females would be a better choice becouse two males will always fight when together.
To reduce the chances of your rabbits fighting it's recomended to get either two females litter mates or a buck and doe pair.
